The bees are dead, long live the bees

I had a 100% deadout this year. I know a couple of the things that I did wrong, but I don't know all the factors that contributed to it. This is really sad. Now, I have to try to figure out what the reasons were, and if there was anything I could have done differently.

The learning curve on beekeeping is pretty much a vertical wall.

Thankfully, my happy bee guys in Hamilton have a few extra 3-frame nucs still available. I'll buy one and start again.

The good leftover honey will become mead, and the wax will be made into candles. I'll borrow my father-in-laws microscope and maybe send some to University of Guelph as a back-up analysis.

And on we go.
